A Message from the Founder…

“As the founder of The Uhl Agency, I’m proud to have earned my early working experience from my father, Charles M. Uhl. He started an insurance agency in 1910, providing me with the opportunity to learn about the insurance business. After graduating from the University of Dayton, where I was a 1956 First Team All-American in basketball, I started my own insurance agency to serve families and businesses of the Dayton area.

“Cynthia and I were married in 1957, and have lived in Washington Township since 1964. We’re proud of our family: 4 daughters, 1 son, and 11 grandchildren. I enjoy spending time with each of them as well as attending my alma mater’s basketball games.”

Our Leadership Team…

A graduate of Alter High School and the University of Dayton, Bill joined the family business in 1990 and today acts as president of The Uhl Agency. Bill specializes in commercial and personal insurance, and like all members of the Uhl team, is 100% committed to doing what’s truly best for the agency’s clients. That means communicating with clients on a regular basis, educating those same clients about proper insurance coverage, and always… always… following the Golden Rule.

Bill played basketball at the University of Dayton for 4 years and continues to support the Flyers. He also stays involved in the community by serving as a board member at the Dayton Boys & Girls Club and being actively involved at the Church of the Incarnation School and Parish.

Married to Kelly since 1999 and the father of 4 boys, Bill takes great pleasure in hanging with the family, coaching grade school basketball, golfing (he once played Augusta with Coach Lou Holtz), trips to the beach and mountains, and watching Dayton Flyer basketball.

Deborah has accumulated a wealth of insurance knowledge after having began her career in the insurance industry in the 1970′s. Deb joined The Uhl Agency in 1985 and became a principal owner in 1996. Passionate about taking care of her clients, Deb specializes in commercial and personal insurance, and along with all members of The Uhl Agency, is committed to delivering services and products with care, concern and integrity.

Married to husband Jim since 1971, Deb’s greatest joy is spending time with her sons and their families, and traveling to experience the world’s exciting and beautiful locations. Deb is fond of saying “Life is like a good wine, best taken with family and friends”.

Having attended Wake Forest University and graduated from  the University of Dayton, Marc takes great pride in “doing things the right way” and in offering clients the program they need at the best possible price.

Married and the proud papa of a baby girl, one dog and four birds, Marc will tell you that he enjoys reading and writing fiction, following the NFL, NASCAR,  and other sports, listening to his extensive classical music collection (he has over 45 days of music on his iPod), and evenings out with friends and family.

Jon is a firm believer that using common sense is often the best approach to providing a client with the best possible solution. He sells commercial and personal insurance and specializes in professional liability insurance for the investment community. Jon states that communication is everything and that to be effective, clients must have a genuine trust in the work he and the agency perform. After being in the investment business for over 12 years, he knows what questions to ask to garner the best policy for his clients’ specific practices and the services they provide.

Married for 12 years to Suzie and the father of 4 boys, Jon spends his free-time coaching the kids in various sports, playing softball and golf, and volunteering on the investment committees of both the YMCA of Greater Dayton as well as the Centerville Washington Township Public Library. He also donates a lot of his time to the Incarnation Fish Fry, and sets new records each year in Centerville at Halloween as the “HOT DOG MAN“.

He was also a recipient of the prestigious “40 under 40″ award by the Dayton Business Journal in 2007.
